SelahVox app privacy

This policy also covers the SelahVox mobile app and its connected services. The website tour below has fewer capabilities than the app. Contact SelahVox Studios at selahvoxstudios@gmail.com about either service.

Account and saved content

The app uses Google Firebase Authentication for account access, including supported email, Apple, and Google sign-in. Account identifiers and sign-in details are processed to authenticate you. Firebase Firestore supports account-linked journal synchronization and other saved app records. Journals and preferences can also be cached on your device. Signed-in journal content is not limited to browser or device-only storage.

Depending on the tools you use, saved information includes journal text and titles, Bible reading progress and bookmarks, study answers and progress, profile choices, and saved content. Faith Feed services running on Cloudflare process your account identifier and interactions such as saved videos, likes, dislikes, and preferences to provide your feed. Account and content records remain until you remove them or request deletion, subject to operational backups and limited legal or security retention. We do not promise an unverified automatic deletion schedule.

Microphone, voice, and optional AI help

The app requests microphone and speech-recognition permission for voice input or recording features you choose. Device and Apple speech services may process speech according to your device, language, and settings. Denying permission leaves typing available where supported. Recordings or exports you save to your device or share remain under your control.

When you allow companion help, the messages you enter in that conversation and its recent replies are sent through SelahVox services to OpenAI to prepare a response. The companion consent screen states that saved journals and ChatGPT history are not included in that conversation request. Other optional personalization features use their own choices; review those controls before enabling them. AI output may be inaccurate. Do not include information you do not want processed, and review responses before saving or sharing.

OpenAI and infrastructure providers process information under their applicable service terms and privacy policies. This policy does not promise zero provider retention or that all processing happens on your device. See OpenAI’s Privacy Policy and Google’s Privacy Policy.

Language, videos, and purchases

Automatic interface and study translation is provided through connected translation services. The translation implementation sends public interface labels and authored questions; personal placeholder values stay on the device. Journals and written answers remain as you wrote them. Translation accuracy varies, and dictation or read-aloud support varies by language and device.

Faith Feed uses YouTube API Services and YouTube playback. Google and YouTube may process technical information and viewing interactions when you watch a video. Saved SelahVox feed preferences are distinct from your YouTube account. SelahVox does not ask for your Google password to play public YouTube videos. Google and YouTube operate under their own policies. App Store purchases are processed by Apple; membership services process transaction and entitlement information needed to verify access. SelahVox does not collect your full payment-card details through this website.

Your controls and requests

Use the app’s available content and personalization controls, your device permission settings, and Apple’s subscription controls. Email us to request access, correction, or deletion of your SelahVox account or server-held content. We may need to verify account ownership. Clearing website storage or uninstalling the app does not remove server records or cancel a subscription. See Data & account deletion.

Information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate. We use account access controls and service authentication, but no service can guarantee absolute security. Do not send passwords, verification codes, or unnecessary sensitive journal content to support.

1. Scope and operator

This policy describes SelahVox Studios’ public website, its informational app tour, and the retained controls for earlier local preview data. Contact selahvoxstudios@gmail.com.

Current website release: account sign-in, checkout, cloud journal synchronization, microphone recording, AI processing, and live YouTube requests are disabled. Page illustrations are examples, not your account data. The mobile app’s data practices are described above; these website restrictions do not describe the mobile app.

2. What the website and preview process

Website delivery: when you open a page, our hosting provider processes network information such as your IP address, requested URL, browser details, and security events to deliver and protect the site. This release does not install advertising trackers or an analytics product.

Earlier preview content: previous website versions may have kept names, journals, notes, saved items, and preferences in local or session storage. This version neither opens those tools nor automatically reads, uploads, or deletes that content. The data choices page can export or clear it when you explicitly ask.

Storage on this release: browsing the public tour creates no journal, login, trial, membership, or policy-agreement record. Earlier preview records may remain until you clear them.

Support: emailing us provides your email address and the information you include. Please send only the information needed for your request.

3. Microphone, recordings, and AI choices

This public release does not request microphone, camera, location, speech-recognition, or recording permissions. It does not record sound or create a journal.

This release does not play a soundscape or call a voice, prayer, or other AI service. Named features in page illustrations explain the app rather than activating them.

Before online AI or account features are enabled, updated disclosures will identify the provider, information sent, purpose, retention, and relevant choices. Optional journal-based personalization requires its own consent.

4. YouTube API Services and Google

SelahVox uses YouTube API Services in enabled Faith Feed implementations. This browser preview does not currently make live YouTube API or OAuth requests. It does not obtain your Google password, YouTube account credentials, private playlists, subscriptions, or watch history.

When YouTube playback is enabled, videos and related content may be delivered by YouTube, including advertisements. YouTube and Google may receive your IP address, browser/device information, the referring site, and playback interactions, and may use cookies or similar technologies. Review the Google Privacy Policy and YouTube Terms of Service.

Opening an external YouTube link takes you to a different service with its own data practices. Browser preferences and any Google consent presented there remain under your control. Permission to play media is not permission to send private journals to Google.

For any SelahVox Google connection you have authorized in another release, you can revoke access through Google Account permissions. Revocation and deletion are different actions; contact us to request deletion of SelahVox-held API user data. See Data & account deletion.

5. Other service providers and sharing

GoDaddy provides hosting when this package is deployed there. The forest background may load from Unsplash’s image servers, which receive technical information needed to deliver the image. A local illustrated fallback is included. The app icon is served from this website. No external font, analytics, or video service is loaded. Support email is handled through Google’s email service. Any local export you request is handled by your browser and the device location you select.

We do not sell information from this public tour or use it to target advertising. No third-party analytics or AI training integration is enabled in this build. Support information may be shared where legally required, necessary to address abuse or protect rights, or at your direction.

6. Storage and retention

Earlier local preview content remains in the storage used by that version until you or the browser remove it. Session restoration may preserve it; do not assume closing a tab deletes it. This update does not create a new copy of that content.

Support correspondence is retained as needed to handle the request and legitimate follow-up, security, and legal obligations. Infrastructure providers may keep their own operational logs under their service terms. This package does not configure a fixed deletion schedule for those provider-controlled logs.

The browser release stores no server-side YouTube API response cache or Google OAuth token. Before that changes, retention and deletion controls must be implemented and described here. Where SelahVox holds YouTube API user data in another enabled release, requests for its deletion should be sent through our contact procedure; YouTube’s applicable deletion requirements must be followed.

7. Your choices and deletion

You may browse public information without an account, export or clear earlier local preview data, and contact us about access, correction, or deletion. No premium workspace or active sign-in form is exposed by this release.

Clearing website data does not delete a native app account, cancel billing, remove downloaded files, delete data held by YouTube, or revoke a Google authorization. You may need to take those actions separately.

8. Security and sensitive information

Use HTTPS when accessing the hosted website. This build does not accept private content at a backend API and contains no service-account or store credentials. No security measure guarantees absolute protection. Do not send support passwords or verification codes.

9. Children and international access

This website’s future interactive features are intended for adults, not children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided private information to us. Website delivery or support may involve providers in the United States or other countries where they operate.

Depending on your location, applicable law may give you additional access, deletion, correction, objection, or complaint rights. Send requests to our support email. These choices do not reduce rights provided by law.

10. Updates and contact

We will update this page when the website’s practices change. Material changes to Google or YouTube data use require appropriate notice and renewed consent before the new use begins.

For a question or complaint about privacy, email selahvoxstudios@gmail.com with the subject “SelahVox privacy request.” Do not include private journal content unless necessary.
